㈜일라, 친환경 ‘GRS 인증’ 획득…친환경 제품 공급 가속화

패브릭 제조사 회사인 일라가 최근 국제 재생표준인증인 ‘GRS(Global Recycled Standard)’를 획득하여, 친환경 제품의 공급을 확장할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

관계자는 “㈜일라는 친환경 패브릭 등 GRS 인증 받은 자재를 사용한 친환경 제품 생산이 가능하다.”며 “GRS 인증은 신뢰성 높은 친환경 인증으로 평가 받고 있다. 해당 인증은 실제 사용 이력을 추적할 수 있는 제품에 부여하는 친환경 국제 재생 표준인증이다. GRS 인증을 획득하기 위해서는 20% 이상의 재생 원료를 사용해야 하며, 제품의 생산부터 유통까지 모든 단계에서 재활용 원료 함량이 부합해야한다. 또한 대기 및 폐기물 배출, 화학 물질 관리 등 사회, 환경, 화학적 기준을 준수해야하며 최소 50% 이상의 재활용 원료 활용도를 충족해야만 최종 제품에 GRS 인증 마크를 표시할 수 있다.”고 설명했다.

그러면서 “일라는 제직처과 염색처 모두 GRS 국제인증을 획득하였다. 이를 통해 ESG 경영(환경,사회,지배구조)을 필요로 하는 기업들에게 글로벌 기준에 맞는 친환경 제품을 생산하여 제공하고 있다. 제품 생산 및 유통 과정에서 환경에 미치는 영향을 최소화함으로써 협업하는 기업이 시장 경쟁력을 확보하고, 브랜드 가치를 높여 국내외 시장에서 지속가능성을 선도할 수 있도록 하고 있다.”고 전했다.

이어 “환경 문제에 민감한 소비자들을 대상으로 글로벌 친환경 마크가 부착된 제품을 생산할계획이다”라고 전달했다. 일라는 기존에 취득한 오코텍스 인증과 더불어 이번 GRS 인증 획득을 통해 ESG 경영을 실천하고 있음을 다시 한번 보여주었고, 앞으로 더욱더 강화하여 다양한 기업 및 디자이너들과 협업을 진행할 예정이다.”라고 덧붙였다.

일라 대표는 “이번 GRS 인증을 통해 원자재인 친환경 원사부터 생산, 수입, 유통까지 친환경 기업으로 인정받았다. 앞으로도 다양한 기업에서 친환경 제품을 공급받을 수 있도록 친환경 소재와 친환경 유통구조를 확대해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Illa, a fabric manufacturer, recently acquired Global Recycle Standard (GRS), an international regeneration standard certification, and announced that it plans to expand the supply of eco-friendly products.

“It is possible to produce eco-friendly products using GRS-certified materials such as ILLA eco-friendly fabrics,” an official said. “GRS certification is evaluated as highly reliable eco-friendly certification. This certification is an eco-friendly international regeneration standard certification given to products that can track actual usage history. In order to obtain GRS certification, at least 20% of recycled raw materials must be used, and the content of recycled materials must be consistent at all stages from production to distribution of products. In addition, it must comply with social, environmental and chemical standards such as air, waste discharge, and chemical substance management, and must meet at least 50% of recycled raw material utilization before the final product can be marked with a GRS certification mark.”

“ILLA has obtained GRS international certification for both the weaving and dyeing sites. Through this, we produce and provide eco-friendly products that meet global standards to companies that need ESG management (environmental, social, and governance). By minimizing the impact on the environment in the production and distribution process of products, cooperating companies can secure market competitiveness and increase brand value to lead sustainability in domestic and international markets,” he said.

He added, “We plan to produce products with global eco-friendly marks for consumers who are sensitive to environmental issues.” In addition to the previously acquired OEKO-TEX certification, ILLA has once again shown that it is implementing ESG management through the acquisition of GRS certification, and will further strengthen and collaborate with various companies and designers in the future.
